The AECC is heading to the Golden State! On May 17, Roger Berg, AECC Board Officer, and Vice President of DENSO’s North American Research and Development Group, will speak on a panel at the Edge Computing Expo, the leading event for edge platforms, digital twin, robotics and computer vision, future progressions, and accelerating transformation.

The year to come promises to be an exciting one for the AECC. Poised at the nexus of edge computing, connected vehicles, 5G and 6G, the AECC is paving the way for the future of automotive transportation.

Last month, AECC hosted its final member meeting of the year. It brought together some of the leading minds in the automotive, MNO and cloud technology spaces to explore some of the pressing questions that are shaping our work in the organization.

Last month, AECC board members Roger Berg, VP of DENSO’s North American Research and Development team, and Christer Boberg, Director, Ericsson Group Strategy, joined SBD Automotive Analyst Kurt Dusterhoff for a webinar discussion titled Coordinating the Connected Car and Network Edge.

The AECC recently held its final All-Member Meeting of the year. The opening keynote presentation, “6G for Automotive: How can we plan when we are only just getting to grips with 5G?” was led by Kurt Dusterhoff of SBD Automotive. Kurt provided a brief overview of where connected vehicles are today, where they are going tomorrow, and how that relates to 6G’s deployment plan and the connected services ecosystem.

The AECC recently held a panel at ITS World Congress in Los Angeles to discuss the future of connected vehicle services, its Proof of Concept (PoC) program, and how it is unlocking the connected vehicle services opportunity using the AECC’s distributed edge computing approach. The distinguished presenters included Ludovico Fassati, AECC member and SVP America at Nexar, Roger Berg, AECC Communications Vice Chair and Vice President of DENSO’s North American Research and Development Group, and Said Tabet, AECC Board Member and Distinguished Engineer at Dell Technologies.
