Vehicle Teleoperation and Cloud Computing
This panel will discuss the potential roles of cloud and edge computing in vehicle teleoperation, from assisting human teleoperators today to enabling automated teleoperation in the future. It will discuss potentials for off-loading some automated driving intelligence from the vehicles to the cloud; its associated benefits, opportunities, and challenges; and its E2E architectural considerations. It will discuss the role of AI for powering cloud-based vehicle teleoperation. It will also cover key challenges, such as performance and security, associated with using cloud and edge computing for teleoperation.
